Mr. B
My journey in child care programs and education began 20 years ago when I volunteered to work at an early childhood center in town. From that short two weeks it became clear that I wanted a long and fulfilling career in education. I was hired to work at the early childhood center after my volunteer work and the rest is history!
After many years of working as a Head Counselor/Site Director, I decided that I wanted to create my own child care programs for a school district that was near and dear to my heart. In 2010, I created a proposal to present in front of the East Hanover Board of Education and that's when the East Hanover Township After-School Child Care (EHTASCC) was born! Within EHTASCC, I have established and created before-school, after-school, summer camp, vacation and holiday full day, and enrichment programs. I am still the Coordinator of EHTASCC today.
In addition to my position as Coordinator, I have been teaching fourth grade for twelve years since September 2011. I have served on a plethora of committees (school safety team, school-based planning team, curriculum council, curriculum writing, hiring committee, standards-based grading/report cards, etc.) as well as serve as Teacher-in-Charge and Grade Level Team Leader.
Throughout my teaching and coordinator career, I continue to be a lifelong learner, constantly seeking new learning opportunities. I have gone on to obtain my Masters in Educational Leadership, receiving my superintendent, principal, and supervisor certificate.
As I continue to develop learning opportunities in my career, I decided that I wanted to reach even more children as well as parents, teachers, and school districts. Mr. B's Beyond The Classroom grants me this opportunity. Founded on the premise that learning is a lifelong journey, Mr. B's Beyond The Classroom gives all people the chance to learn fiercely, enrich their lives, and achieve their goals. We are more than your average tutoring company. We provide unique opportunities and experiences to spark the interest and needs of each student, teacher, parent, and school district.
